All in Two Nappies are comprised of an outer waterproof shell and an absorbent insert that is usually attached to the inside of the shell with snaps. At wash time, the absorbent part is detached from the shell and the parts can be washed separately. This allows for quicker drying. One of the main benefits of All in Two Nappies is the ability to re-use the outer shell by simply snapping in a clean insert at change time. Many inserts are also interchangeable across brands which also allows for greater flexibility and mixing and matching insert types.
